ramble ramble process process

So I do realize that I'm not especially a super-dooper-ball-o-fun all the time -- at least not in all situations/environments.

I'm at a place where I'm getting serious...about my now and about my future. I sure don't want to be renting housing in 10 years. Nor do I want to sell my soul for financial security. It's not all about money, but I figure that if I do my homework now and not do as many social things/travel right now that I can get serious and then in 5, 10 + years I can do more of the other stuff.

Balance. Striving for balance, and a plan.

I'm using what I've learned in my 31 years to be healthy in all areas of my life. This has taken shape by eliminating many of the activities I used to engage in (Mostly my not dropping whatever I'm doing all day every day for any phone call that came in to do something with/for someone...I do intend to keep helping others as a high priority, but I'm sure not much help to others if I'm dropping the ball in my own life, eh? I need to stay focused on what's important.) Do less things better.

So what is important?

Not in order:

Health.

Following through on responsibilities.

Sisterhood.

Friendship-symbiosis-synergy-harmony.

Financial plan for future.

Inspiration-instigation-invocation.

A home that is harmonious and supportive.

and more.

Always more.

So I'm doing all sorts of productive things--going to the gym 4-6 times a week, reading while at the gym about health, women's writings about sex after 40, financial planning info, gardening, eating/lifestyle/entertainment, talking with people more about these type of things.

I'm also getting more involved in my path of Sisterhood, though mostly internally. I believe an accurate description of where I'm at right now is that I've got the "Sister" part down, as well as the "Perpetual Indulgence" and am now concentrating on the "Inc." part. Need to spend more time in the archives!!! And work on my Novice project...I'm really excited about it and will post more about it later.

For now, I'm staying in on this lovely Saturday night to spend a final night with my roommate who leaves in the morning to travel 5 days by train to her sugar daddy in Miami. We're making more baklava cuz the stuff we made for her trip all got eaten today. Yummmm....
