Today was a beautiful day... at a brunch celebrating the LIFE of my beautiful Godsister there was so much joy, great conversations, dancing in the middle of the afternoon, having so much great sex with a beautiful wise sweet wonderful woman, more great conversations with friends both old and new, being surrounded with delicious food and only being drawn to the stuff that actually makes me feel good, more great conversations and hugs and connections, more great sex :-) with lots of kissing, and currently my purring-est kitten is doing her best impression of a motorboat engine while rubbing and loving on me...
I'm also concentrating on a concept I read this week about compassion...Can't remember it verbatim but it's something like "True compassion is when we point those who are suffering towards their liberation." I've got work to do in that area, and am up for the challenge :-) Lard knows I've been on the receiving end many times and have gathered some tools to pass onto others, and I am actively seeking more...thanks to my other Godsister I'll be getting some more spoken word cd's of more of this subject (I've got a couple of posts about Marianne Williamson and how I like many of her ideas, but she uses the word "god" often and I must work to replace that word while listening to her...this new stuff doesn't use the word or concept and is packed full of joy-driven principles...good stuff!!!)
Yesterday was completely magickal, beginning with a blissful morning of getting into whiteface at 6 a.m. after too-little sleep due to a couple of great events the night before, proceeding to ride a shuttle to Sacto with 25 joyful people, mostly Sisters, to a gay marriage rally at the Capitol building with Margaret Cho speaking and me falling over and over in love with my Sisters both as individuals and as a whole Order. Then proceeded to my excellent V-day date with my favorite 5 year old where we watched a super special movie in front of the fireplace :-)
